I can't honestly say I've tried ALL the sets of dotting tools out there. I doubt ANYbody has. But! I have tried (and own) MANY. I will say that almost every single set...key word being SET...of dotting tools that I've used, they almost all have the same issue. They tend to have only ONE end with different sized balls, and the other end are usually all the same sized balls. Meaning, each tool has the same size as all the others on one end of the tool. And only one side is different, per tool. This is a tragic flaw, imo. So, when I saw this set...which seemed to have ALL different sized ends...I thought to myself "self, why not, what do you have to lose trying one more set?"
So here I am. Saying that, yes! This set is actually a FULL set with ALL DIFFERENT sized balls...10 (yes TEN) different sizes. Which makes this the absolute best set I have EVER seen or used or owned!
I highly recommend this set to anyone in search of true ball size variety. This set has everything from literally the no-ball, pin sized end, all the way up to the massive ball end that's 2.5-3mm or so, large. And all the sizes in between.
I'm well aware that yes, there may not be tons of uses for a very large ball end, but when you need one, it's far nicer to have one on hand rather than have to use a much smaller sized ball over and over to create the size you need...this way tends to lend itself to error and imperfect finished designs.
So, I highly recommend this set, and if you are in search of a diverse size variety, then look no further! This set literally has all that you may need.
I am so very glad that I decided to get this set. I almost didn't, because the last thing I needed was another set with 5 of the same sized balls! I have soooo many of that size, at this point. But as I said, this set is different.
If you get these, you won't need to keep looking further for a wider size variety!
The only recommendation to improve this set would be to offer it in other color options (I would love a totally clear set or something glittery or purple). But as this is a TOOL set and not an actual polish or something, that is a tiny and unnecessary request to fulfill. It's not enough to keep this from 5 stars and from being the best set of dotting tools that I own and have used yet, in my nail art career. You won't be sorry if you get this set. I'm sure.
